Welcome

About Me

My name is Dr. Nateil (Nuh-Teel) Carby, and I’m a recent graduate of the Educational Leadership doctoral program at Georgia State University (2023). I was born and raised in South Florida, and I currently live with my wife and two sons in the suburbs surrounding Atlanta, Georgia. This year represents my twelfth year in education as a middle-school mathematics instructor.  Since 2016, I’ve had the honor of supporting my school's STEAM initiative, and I currently serve as the chairperson of our mathematics department.

My research interests center around business and community partnerships. I believe in the power of networks and that the social connections embedded in those networks can be transformative. Those connections can provide our children with genuine, authentic, and holistic educational experiences. Community networks add value to education, and I want to learn more about the intersections of school leadership, social capital, social networks, and community partnerships in my future research. I enjoy leisure reading, playing soccer, and eating oatmeal raisin cookies in my spare time.

Hobbies & Interests

I love to read, write, box, and play video games. Recently, I've gotten into fishing, so I'd like to explore some good fishing locations in the Metro-Atlanta area. I'm a big fan of House of Cards, The Amazing Race, and the Miami Heat/Dolphins. I'm also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, and my local NAACP Chapter.
